The Israel Dilemma II Film Update

Summary: A production update on The Israel Dilemma II – Promised Return, which continues to explore the prophecies made by Moses concerning Israel’s history.

then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and he will gather you again from all the peoples where the LORD your God has scattered you. – Deuteronomy 30:3 (ESV)

The Predicted Sequence Repeated?

After investigating the remarkable evidence for Israel’s history in the film The Israel Dilemma, Patterns of Evidence will soon be ready to release the sequel, Patterns of Evidence: The Israel Dilemma II. Why a follow-up film on historical evidence matching Moses’ prophecies about Israel’s future? For two reasons really.

First, although the pattern of evidence in the BC period for the steps of Kingdom, Destroyed, Scattered, uniquely Persecuted, yet one day Returned to the land that can be seen in Israel’s history was truly remarkable, there are clear indications that this sequence did not completely fulfill the prophecies, and significant aspects remained incomplete. Why? Was there more history to unfold? YES.

The second reason to continue the investigation is that the entire unlikely and unprecedented sequence appears to have been repeated in history, with the second cycle leading right up until our own time. Not only did the sequence happen twice, the second set of steps seem to be more pronounced and fulfill the prophecies of Moses and the Biblical prophets in a more complete way.

At the Feet of the Saviour, massacre of Jews in Toledo, Spain. The persistent and severe nature of Jewish persecution through the centuries, along with their preservation, has led many to propose supernatural involvement. The fact that it was so clearly predicted in the Bible has led some of the world’s greatest thinkers to conclude that this is some of the strongest evidence for the existence of God. Is all of this evidence a confirmation of the Bible’s record that God made a binding covenant with Abraham and the people of Israel? Many believe this is strong evidence that the final redemption of Israel is near-at-hand and that the final phase of end-times events will soon commence. Others believe God’s dealings with Israel as an ethnic group are ended, and that the end-times promises to Israel for a glorious future only pertained to “spiritual Israel,” which they define as the Christian Church.

Could some aspects of both views be correct? How strong is the pattern of historical evidence and could it merely be a coincidence? Filmmaker Timothy Mahoney sets out to find answers in this epic investigation.

The Completion of the Film

The interviews and scripting for The Israel Dilemma II – Promised Return has been completed. Now, editing is moving forward, with more than half of the film reaching “rough cut” status. This phase should be complete in the next few weeks, with the “polishing” phase to follow.

The process has been greatly aided by AI (Artificial Intelligence) recreations of historical events that would have been unimaginable for our small team to achieve even one year ago. No longer is it necessary to film large recreations with actors or employ the computer animations seen in the multi-million-dollar Hollywood films of the past. With AI technology, the result is stunning production value, with dramatic scenes depicting events of anything from the Roman destruction of Jerusalem to scenes of Jewish families in their homes fearful of mob persecution from local villagers.

The production schedule is projecting the film to be ready for an international online release (not in theaters this time) somewhere in the late summer to early fall time frame. Look for more specifics on this online event in the weeks ahead. Spread the word about this inspiring and thought-provoking release coming soon. Until then, keep thinking!
